This week’s featured publication is:
The Philosophy of Color
Edited by Alex Byrne and David R. Hilbert

From the volume’s introduction:

Color is a peculiarly striking aspect of the world as it appears to us. It is therefore a natural starting point for any investigation into appearance and reality. No surprise, then, that philosophy has always taken an interest in color. And even when colors have not been the topic, they have often been used to stain a specimen under the philosohical microscope… This volume contains a selection of recent philosophical papers on color and a comprehensive bibliography. Its companion volume, Readings on Color, Vol. 2: The Science of Color, is a broad collection of current scientific work on color and color vision.
